Report on old plantations. This plantation, built in 1840 near Westwego, has been known as Heringue, Zeringue, Bell Damme, and Seven Oaks plantation. The Greek style main house was last owned by Pacific Railroad but was vacated in 1957. Dilapidated and damaged by Hurricane Betsy, it was eventually demolished in 1977.
