This segment from the October 13, 2023, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Karen LeBlanc’s report on the 35th anniversary of the LSU Earthquake Game, the 1988 LSU-Auburn football game. LeBlanc reports that the fans cheered so loudly following the game-winning touchdown that the energy produced an earthshaking event that was recorded by an LSU seismometer. She interviews: Dr. Darrell Henry, the chairman of the LSU Department of Geology and Geophysics; Tommy Hodson, LSU quarterback (1986-1989) who threw the touchdown; and Eddie Fuller, LSU running back (1986-1989) who caught the touchdown.
