Description
This segment from the October 25, 2019, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Natasha Williams’ report on the aquaponics program at Brookstown Middle School in Baton Rouge, which was one of only 38 schools in the country to receive a Green Ribbon Award from the United States Department of Education for their conservation efforts. Williams reports that the students raise catfish and use the catfish waste to grow lettuce and celery.
