This segment from the March 15, 2019, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Natasha Williams’ report on the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office becoming the first law enforcement agency in the country to use GISMO, technology created by General Informatics in Baton Rouge. Williams reports that GISMO is a handheld mobile device that can read license plates, scan drivers’ licenses, look up vehicle information numbers, view cameras around the parish, and access the shot spotter system.
