This segment from the October 13, 2017, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Andre Moreau’s report on the life of the late Barry Seal, a pilot and drug smuggler turned DEA informant from Baton Rouge. Seal is the subject of the recently released “American Made,” a movie starring Tom Cruise. Moreau interviews John Camp, a retired investigative reporter, who discusses his 1984 interview with Seal, the lack of facts in “American Made,” and his reporting on the 1986 fatal shooting of Seal in the parking lot of a Baton Rouge halfway house.
