These stories include: State Representative Ed Price, Rob Rieger of the Louisiana Credit Union League, Joe Gendron of the Louisiana Bankers Association, and Ronaldo Hardy of the Shell Geismar Federal Credit Union testifying before the House Commerce Committee on Price’s bill allowing state credit union boards to hold raffles for prizes; Jacquelyn Blaney of the Louisiana Supported Living Network, Fabra Cain, Mary Joseph, and State Senator Regina Barrow testifying before the Senate Health and Welfare Committee on Barrow’s resolution requiring the Department of Health and Hospitals to find funding solutions for organizations that provide in-home support services for their clients with special needs; State Representative Kirk Talbot testifying before the House Education Committee on his bill preventing the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) from holding separate post-season playoffs for public and non-public schools; State Representatives Ed Price and Gene Reynolds questioning Talbot on his bill; State Representative Chris Broadwater testifying before the House Education Committee on a bill created by the students at Hammond East Side Elementary Magnet School, which prohibits school boards from requiring students to wear school uniforms; and State Representative Joe Bouie commenting on the students’ bill.
