Description
This segment from the June 20, 2014, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Charlie Whinham’s report on the Breathe Easy Statewide Concert Tour, a series of concerts in smoke-free venues. He interviews Arianne Deruise, the lead singer of U4ria, a band that performs only in smoke-free venues, as well as Brent McLellan, the general manager of The Varsity in Baton Rouge, one of the concert venues on the tour. Whinham then conducts an in-studio interview with Dr. Rani Whitfield and Quanda Charles of the Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco Free Living. They discuss the dangers of secondhand smoke.
