This segment from the September 14, 2012, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Charlie Whinham’s interview with Bonnie Kate Pourciau of Baton Rouge, one of the victims of the mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, on July 20, 2012. In all, twelve people were killed and fifty-eight people were wounded. Pourciau discusses: her family; her memories of the shooting; her hospital stay; meeting President Barack Obama at the hospital; her bad dreams; forgiving the shooter; and her ongoing recovery from a severe leg injury.
