Lincoln highlights: the Freshman Academy at Ruston High School; truancy enforcement in Monroe; the Medical Career Academy at Fair Park High School in Shreveport; the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program; the NewTech program at Ruston High School; and the Volunteers of America’s Lighthouse program in Shreveport. She interviews: Janaya Johnson, Antarius Reed, and Adam Rangus, students at Ruston High School; Debbie Schum of the Louisiana Department of Education; Lora Hammons and Catherine Letendre, a teacher and administrator at Ruston High School; Anthony Smith, a truancy officer with the Monroe Police Department; Justin Fortune, a student at Fair Park High School; Damon Doughty, an alumnus of the Lighthouse program; and Scott Hughes of the Alliance for Education.
