Description
This segment from the September 23, 2011, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Sue Lincoln’s report on the financial crisis facing Southern University in Baton Rouge. Lincoln interviews Southern Chancellor James Llorens, who discusses the school’s declining state funding, the use of furloughs as a cost saving measure, the declining enrollment due to higher admissions standards, and their plans to do an in-depth analysis of their current course offerings.
