Description
This segment from the September 23, 2011, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features producer Allegra Nevils Yancey’s profile of the three PBS Innovative Teachers from Louisiana. She interviews the three winning teachers: Katrice Hall, a third grade teacher at Jefferson Terrace Elementary School in Baton Rouge; Michelle Buchanan, a seventh and eighth grade gifted science teacher at Pineville Junior High School; and Mark Rabalais, a ninth grade world geography teacher at Pineville High School. They discuss their use of technology in the classroom and the projects they submitted for the PBS Innovative Teacher application. Yancey also interviews their three school principals: Debra Adebuti of Jefferson Terrace Elementary School; Columbus Goodman of Pineville Junior High School; and Dr. Karl Carpenter of Pineville High School.
