This segment from the July 29, 2011, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features producer Allegra Nevils Yancey’s report on the immunizations required for Louisiana’s school children. Yancey interviews Dr. Marilyn Reynaud, the Region 2 Medical Director for the Department of Health and Hospitals, who discusses the requirement for parents to maintain an up-to-date immunization record for their children, the Louisiana Immunization Network for Kids Statewide (LINKS) registry of vaccination records, and the safety of vaccines.
