Description
This segment from the July 29, 2011, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features producer Jeremy Alford’s visit to Bay Jimmy in Barataria Bay, an area still receiving oil from the BP Oil Spill in 2011. Alford tours the area with Dave Marino of Myrtle Grove Charters and sees the effect of the oil on the marsh. He also talks to Secretary Robert Barham of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries about his commitment to holding BP responsible for the damage to Bay Jimmy and his department’s role in determining when the clean-up process is complete.
