This segment from the July 9, 2010, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Shauna Sanford’s interview with attorney Keith Jones, the father of Gordon Jones, one of the eleven workers killed in the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion. Jones discusses his son Gordon’s life and his fight to change the 1920 Death on the High Seas Act, which limits the damages for wrongful deaths on the high seas to the compensation of lost income and funeral expenses.
