Description
This segment from the October 28, 1994, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Arcie Chapa’s report on the United States Army Corps of Engineers’ management of the Atchafalaya Basin over the past ten years. She reports that the Sierra Club has been holding public hearings on the health of the Atchafalaya Basin. She interviews Bob Campos of the Corps of Engineers and Harold Schoeffler, nearby resident. Host Robert Collins then conducts an in-studio interview with Dr. Paul Kemp, LSU wetlands resources professor, who discusses his view of the Corps of Engineers’ management of the Atchafalaya Basin and what he would like to see in the future.
