Description
This segment from the July 9, 1993, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features the first part of Jeff Duhe’s report on Bossier City residents’ concerns about contamination at an abandoned oil refinery site. Duhe reports that the Alexis Park Apartments and other Bossier City neighborhoods were built on top of the abandoned oil refinery site. He also reports that residents have complained about chemical smells that are causing people to become sick.
