Description

Morgan, a native of Shreveport, is a former state legislator who served as the leader of the impeachment proceedings against Governor Huey P. Long in 1929. He discusses: his opposition to Governor Long’s administration; the events of “Bloody Monday” in 1929, the night that a brawl broke out in the state legislature during the impeachment proceedings against Long; and the impeachment of Governor Long in the House of Representatives.
