Morrison, a resident of Hammond, is an arts advocate and philanthropist. She served as the Vice President of the Louisiana Council for Music and the Performing Arts from 1967-2008 and founded the Hammond Arts Council in 1968. She has also served on several other arts boards, including the Louisiana Alliance for Arts and Education, the Louisiana Arts Education Association, and the New Orleans Museum of Art Advisory Board.
