This episode of the series “En Francais” from January 7, 1984, features Amanda LaFleur’s interview with Jake Ardoin, a rice farmer from Ville Platte, Louisiana. LaFleur then visits the Conrad Rice Mill in New Iberia, Louisiana, the oldest working rice mill in the United States and the producer of KONRIKO Rice. She interviews Martin Fournet, tour director, and Mike Davis, the president of the Conrad Rice Mill. This episode was preserved through a 2018 CLIR Recordings at Risk Grant.
