Description
This segment from the May 25, 1986, episode of the series “Folks” features Rob Hinton’s visit to a convention sponsored by the Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau in Metairie, Louisiana. He interviews Chris Garrett, the director of the MWMCVB, who discusses: the importance of National Tourism Week; the economic impact of the tourism industry in Louisiana; their convention in Metairie; and the major attractions in Ouachita Parish, including the Apocalypse Passion Play.
