Description
This episode of the series “Alive! In America’s Delta” from January 8, 2014, focuses on the work of the enforcement agents at the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) in enforcing state and federal wildlife conservation laws. It covers: the training of enforcement agents; their work in patrolling the state on land, by air, and by boat; their enforcement of boating safety laws; and their role in conducting search-and-rescue operations following Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita in 2005. It follows agents as they work at the Sherburne Wildlife Management Area, West Cove in Calcasieu Lake, the Gulf of Mexico, Toledo Bend, and Lake Maurepas. It includes interviews with: Lt.
